A camper takes in the night air and sky from the end of the lone dock on the remote Rock Pond in the Unorganized Territories of the northwest mountains in Maine on August 15, 2020. Rock Pond is home to some of the most remote area in the United States and is currently being threatened by the New England Clean Energy Connect project that will construct a high-tension power line across the pond and pristine landscape. The Maine Supreme Court just ruled the citizen initiative to put a referendum to have another vote on the corridor unconstitutional and can not be on the ballot in November.
